October 20 is World Osteoporosis Day.

What is Osteoporosis?

Osteoporosis is bones becoming weak (fragile) and brittle because of loss of calcium and other tissue in the bone

Osteoporosis can happen because of hormone deficiency, Vitamin D deficiency and calcium deficiency or loss. Post menopausal women are the most at risk. Even though it affects the elderly, preventive steps should be put in place from young age.
You need to work towards having strong bones.

Below is a 2 minute video on foods which contain calcium and vitamin D.

Along with food remember to get adequate sun light exposure. Sun light is very important for vitamin  D synthesis.
